After months of practice, the Lake Superior College men’s basketball team will begin its inaugural season today as the LSC IceHawks travel to Barron County College for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
Their next game is at Riverland Community College on Friday, November 30 at 6 p.m. Then, the IceHawks will make their home debut on Saturday, December 1 at 2 p.m as they host Gogebic Community College. The complete schedule for LSC men’s basketball is now available and includes 10 home games.
LSC women’s basketball will make their debut Wednesday, November 14 at Hibbing Community College at 5:30 p.m. Their next game will be on Friday, November 16 at 4 p.m. at Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College. Then the IceHawks will also make their home debut on Saturday, December 1 when they host Gogebic Community College at noon.

Throughout the first few season of LSC basketball, home games will be played at partnering schools College of St. Scholastica, UW-Superior and Ordean East Middle School. Lake Superior College hopes to build a home basketball court on the main campus of LSC in the near future.

Lake Superior College will be celebrating the success of their fall athletics programs tonight at the annual LSC Fall Athletics Banquet. LSC will be recognizing LSC men’s and women’s soccer teams, the conference champion LCS clay target team, and the LSC cycling team tonight at BlackWoods in Proctor, 195 Hwy 2, with social hour beginning at 5:00 p.m, dinner at 6:00 p.m. and a program at 6:30 p.m.
