“I have long been fascinated by the science of immunology, which led me to rheumatology,” said Dr. Mango. “But ultimately, what attracted me to this field was the opportunity to care for people over the long term, in ways that directly improve their daily lives.”
Dr. Mango earned a medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He completed a residency in internal medicine at St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and a fellowship in rheumatology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine.
As part of the Rheumatology Team, Dr. Mango will diagnose and treat conditions that cause pain or inflammation – like arthritis, connective tissue disease, and vasculitis.
“I am dedicated to developing a science-based, straightforward, individualized approach for each patient, to being their advocate, and to sticking with improving our approach until we get it right,” he said. “I hold myself to the same standard I would expect of a provider caring for someone in my own family.”
