Top-ranked Hermantown will host No. 4 St. Cloud Cathedral in a much-anticipated regular-season matchup between likely Minnesota Class A state tournament teams at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The Hawks (9-1-1) have won seven straight since losing 4-2 to Class AA top-ranked Eden Prairie and a 2-2 overtime tie against Benilde-St. Margaret’s in back-to-back road games Dec. 6-7.

Senior center Blake Biondi leads Hermantown with 19 goals and 36 points, including 16 goals during the win streak. The Bulldogs recruit exploded for seven goals and 17 points as the Hawks out-scored three opponents 24-3 to win the Hilltopper Holiday Classic last weekend.
