Duluth International Airport runway construction update

Reconstruction of the main runway 9/27 at Duluth International Airport began Monday, July 31, 2017. The phase included complete reconstruction of 8,000 feet for the first time in 60 years. It was expected that the reconstruction project would be completed by the beginning of November. New screening procedures at Duluth International Airport

Beginning Monday, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will begin implementing new, stronger screening procedures for carry-on items at airports nationwide, including Duluth International Airport (DLH), in an effort to raise the baseline of airport security.
