LSC nursing students to be recognized at pinning ceremony

Lake Superior College nursing students will participate in a formal nurse’s pinning ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 5 p.m. to acknowledge their graduate status as professional nurses. “Our traditional pinning ceremony is meant to welcome our new nursing graduates into the nursing profession,” said LSC Nursing Program Director Deborah Amys. “The new nurses are presented with nursing pins by the faculty or a loved one chosen by the graduate.” Forty-nine students will graduate this…

Lake Superior College’s annual student Fall Art Exhibit opens Monday at noon with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibit runs through Wednesday. Lake Superior College hires college lab assistant

Lake Superior College has hired alumna Nicole Okstad as a College Lab Assistant for the Integrated Manufacturing program. Her job duties include staffing the LSC Manufacturing Auxiliary Classroom (MAC) trailer, a mobile unit that circulates to area high schools, and helping promote the manufacturing program to K-12 partners throughout the region. LSC student artists host Throw-a-thon

Students with Lake Superior College’s Art Club and area artists will use their creativity to fight hunger throughout the region during an upcoming Throw-a-thon Dec.1-2.
