Erin Fischer has been hired as senior account clerk at Lake Superior College. She will work in LSC Business Services, helping students at the student payment window, receipting payments and processing student payroll. Fischer earned a B.A. degree in 2017 from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Prior to Lake Superior College, she worked as a bookkeeper at Super One Foods.

St. Luke’s teams up with LSC to provide athletic training services

Robert Zbikowski has been hired as a full-time physics instructor at Lake Superior College, starting this fall semester. Zbikowski has a master’s degree in educational administration from University of Minnesota, along with graduate credits in physics from University of Minnesota and University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and also in mathematics from St. Cloud State University and in engineering from North Carolina State University. Lake Superior College president announces retirement

Lake Superior College President Dr. Patrick Johns (right) has announced that this academic year will be his last as the leader of Duluth’s growing community and technical college. After 42 years in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, he will retire effective June 30, 2019. Public welcome at Physical Therapy Community Clinic at Lake Superior College

Starting Wednesday, September 12, Lake Superior College is offering free or low-cost physical therapy services to eligible area residents at LSC’s community clinic for physical therapy. The service is provided by physical therapist students from the College of St. Scholastica and physical therapist assistant students from LSC. Faculty members, who are licensed physical therapists and physical therapist assistants, supervise all treatments. Enrollment at Lake Superior College increases for the second year in a row

Fall semester is now underway at Lake Superior College and for the second year in a row the school is reporting an increase in overall enrollment, as well as impressive increases in new degree seeking student enrollment, international students and students of color. Total headcount of degree seeking students is currently 4,092, a 1.5% increase from the 4,030 enrolled at this time in 2017.
