City of Duluth asks residents to conserve water for next 12 hours

By Pakou Ly
The City of Duluth Public Works and Utilities Department is implementing a water conservation request to Duluth residents for the next 12 hours. With the high levels of the Lake, the water treatment plant is not able to properly treat the intake of water due to an excessive inflow of sediment with current Lake conditions.

The city is asking that residents refrain from using large appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines. The city will issue another public notice with an update once additional information is available.
