Winners of the Greater Downtown Council’s 12th annual Storefront Window and Lighting Display contest have been announced. Awards were presented at the GDC’s Downtown Perk quarterly breakfast meeting.
Twenty-four businesses participated in the contest and the winners of the 2017 Holiday Window and Lighting Display contest are:
Most Original Storefront Window:
. Commercial – Kitchee Gammi Design Co
. Retail – Electric Fetus
Most Traditional Storefront Window:
· Commercial – PS Rudie
· Retail – Salon Capelli
The ballots have been totaled in the Peoples’ Choice and Facebook Favorite categories as well.
Peoples’ Choice Winners:

. Retail – Duluth Trading Co.
MN Power Employee’s Credit Union
Official judging took place the night of November 20th and was based on execution of theme and design presentation. Judges were Local Graphic Artist Brian Barber; Gia Bellamy, Senior Copywriter at Swim Creative and Kathleen Pennington, advertising sales manager at the Duluth News Tribune.
