Superior native Corey Bachand has been named new Duluth East boys soccer head coach. He previously as an assistant coach with the Greyhounds’ girls team, and had coaching positions at UW-Superior, Duluth Marshall and Superior High School as well as leading countless other traveling and prospect teams in hockey and soccer.
He replaces three-year coach Nick Bremer, the 2017 Section 7AA Coach of the Year who led the Greyhounds to a third-place finish at the MSHSL state tournament last fall.
“I develop core skills, over prepare and build individual confidence in my players,” said Bachand, in a prepared statement.
Duluth East Activities Director Shawn Roed said, “Duluth East is excited to have Corey as our boys soccer coach. He brings a exceptional coaching resume and strong record of success in coaching that will enable him to continue the strong Greyhounds soccer tradition.”
