The entry fee is currently $145.
Grandma’s Marathon weekend also features the 28th annual Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon and the 25th annual William A. Irvin 5K. In order to provide the complete support that is needed for Grandma’s Marathon weekend, there are still about 200 volunteer positions remaining. Volunteer positions include areas such as traffic and spectator control, water station assistance, medical services, racecourse entertainment, race packet pick-up and finish area activities.
This year in particular requires more volunteers than usual due to the race course reroute. The additional volunteers will assist with wayfinding to help educate participants and guide spectators to appropriate viewing areas along the modified course.
Service organizations, large groups and individuals are all welcome and encouraged to participate. Each volunteer receives an official Grandma’s Marathon t-shirt, refreshment tickets and an invitation to the Grandma’s Marathon volunteer party on Tuesday, June 26 at Grandma’s Sports Garden. To sign-up to volunteer, visit https://grandmasmarathon.com/get-involved/volunteer, email Tara@GrandmasMarathon.com or call 218-727-0947.
In all, more than 18,000 runners from around the world will participate in Grandma’s Marathon weekend, which is presented by Members Cooperative Credit Union and Toyota.
