Duluth’s Downtown Waterfront is getting another splash of color for the summer, just in time for Grandma’s Marathon. Colorful hanging flower baskets are being delivered for placement on decorative light poles throughout the central business district.
One hundred twenty baskets were delivered Monday morning. The flower baskets have been growing at Engwalls and will be placed out on the poles by the Duluth Downtown Waterfront District’s Clean & Safe Team.
The flowers and their maintenance are funded by property owners within the district.
It was just earlier this week when volunteers provided helping hands to plant flowers in streetscape planters that are being placed on the sidewalks by City of Duluth crews.
The Duluth Downtown Waterfront District is proudly managed by the Greater Downtown Council.
