Josh Kerr won today’s Grandma’s Marathon Minnesota Mile road race on Skyline Parkway.
Kerr, 20, of Johnson City, Tennessee, finished in 4:10.5 and claimed the first-place prize of $2,500. Daniel Herrera of New Orleans, Louisiana, placed second in 4:11.1 and Boulder’s Riley Masters, placed third in 4:11.8.
Amanda Eccleston, 28, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, claimed the women’s division title and $2,500 with a winning time of 4:47.0. Kellyn Taylor, 32, of Flagstaff, Arizona, finished in a close second with a time of 4:47.4. Nikki Hiltz of Aptos, California, was third with a time of 4:50.1.
Eric Hartmark, 40, of Duluth, claimed the men’s master’s title with a time of 4:52.6. Jen Rhines, 44, of San Diego, Massachusetts, won the women’s master’s title with a time of 5:21.3.
A total of 637 participants registered for the Grandma’s Minnesota Mile, which featured a men’s and women’s elite division and recreational division.
The Minnesota Mile is the 5th stop on the nationwide Bring Back the Mile Tour 2018.
