Members Cooperative Credit Union (MCCU) continued its expansion across northern Minnesota by adding the city of Grand Rapids to its growing list of branch locations. Following the completion of a merger and October system integration with Lakes Area Federal Credit Union (LAFCU), the combined entity now operates under the Members Cooperative Credit Union name.
MCCU provides full-service banking to members — from traditional products and accounts to a dynamic range of mortgage and business services — through its 11 branches across northern and central Minnesota. Grand Rapids joins other MCCU locations in Duluth (BlueStone, Miller Hill and Spirit Valley), Cloquet, Aitkin, McGregor, Moose Lake, Sandstone, Isanti and North Branch. As MCCU continues to expand, its members continue to benefit from the convenience of more locations and enhanced services and technology.
Members Cooperative Credit Union’s commitment to their organizational mission has been the top priority: To be the primary, positive financial influence in the lives of our members/owners. As a not-for-profit credit union, they are not in business to make money for a handful of shareholders, they’re in it to serve every one of their members. This commitment extends to the communities they serve, through volunteering and financial support for many organizations.
MCCU offers local service, smart financial products and dynamic education programs to its branch communities. MCCU is the largest credit union based north of the Twin Cities, uniting communities since 1936 and serving its member/owners with more locations than any other credit union in the region.
