Northland Foundation Board of Trustees seeks new members

The Northland Foundation has announced that its Board of Trustees is seeking up to three new members to serve on their board, with terms starting in August 2018. Interested individuals are encouraged to complete an application and upload a resume. The online application process is being implemented using Survey Monkey. Applications must be completed in Survey Monkey with resume uploaded by March 9, 2018 at 4:30 p.m.

To more fully reflect the Foundation’s seven-county region and its people, the board is especially looking for greater representation in the following three areas:

GEOGRAPHY (persons from Carlton County, Koochiching County, Lake County, Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, Bois Forte Band of Chippewa, East Range communities).

ETHNICITY (persons of color or indigenous persons).

AGE (persons age 40 or younger).

“The Governance Committee and Board have designed a new recruiting process this year to help them fill as many as three seats that will be vacant as current Trustees complete their terms in August,” said Tony Sertich, President of the Northland Foundation. “They are also hoping to expand diversity on the Board, to bring added perspective and depth to their work guiding the Foundation.”

Detailed information and the link to the application are available on the Foundation’s website at Anyone with questions can email Carole Saylor or call the Northland Foundation at 218.723.4040.
