The City of Duluth is accepting public comments during a 30-day public review period running from Monday, October 30 to Wednesday, November 29, 2017, on an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) that was prepared for the Spirit Valley Land Company, LLC which is proposing a development called Kayak Bay Village, which will include adding parking areas, residential buildings (multi-family and townhomes), commercial buildings, and office buildings in the St. Louis River Corridor.
A citizen petition is the reason for this EAW being conducted.
The EAW will provide information on the environmental impacts of this project. A copy of the EAW is available online at http://www.duluthmn.gov/community-planning/eaw/. Additional hard copies of the EAW are available for public review at:

Notice of the EAW will be published in the October 30, 2017 EQB Monitor. Written comments must be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. on November 29, 2017, to the attention of Keith Hamre, Director of Planning and Construction Services, Duluth City Hall, 411 West First Street, Room 208, Duluth, MN 55802.
The Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing to receive comments on the EAW on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at 5:00 p.m., in the 3rd Floor Council Chambers of Duluth City Hall, 411 West First Street.
The Planning Commission will review the written comments and make a determination on the EAW at their regular meeting on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, 5:00 p.m., in the 3rd Floor Council Chambers of Duluth City Hall, 411 West First Street.
