The City of Duluth street maintenance team will start removing accumulated snow from Superior Street and First Street on Wednesday.
Work will begin on Superior Street from 6th Ave West to 4th Ave East, including the area by the Fitgers Complex. Staff will also plan to start removal on First Street from 4th Ave East to the west. The work will take place overnight from approximately 2 a.m. to 7 a.m., and the areas impacted will have signs indicating “no parking.” Depending on progress, this work may extend into Thursday morning.
City staff are also expected to start snow removal on the avenues during the day, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting at 5th Avenue West to 4th Ave East on Wednesday with plans to finish on Friday. Some avenues will be signed “no parking” during those daytime hours.
The city advises the public be aware of posted signs and adhere to the parking restrictions to prevent ticketing and towing.
