DULUTH, Minn. — The College of St. Scholastica will celebrate Homecoming 2018 with a week’s worth of activities from Oct. 8-14.
The homecoming theme this year, “We Duluth it Better: Saints for Life,” is a celebration of both the St. Scholastica and Duluth communities. Here is a full schedule of activities:
Monday, Oct. 8
5 – 8 p.m. — on the Science Front Lawn (rain location: Benedictine Commons in the Science Center): Old-Fashioned Minnesota Potluck. Students are invited to enjoy classic Minnesota dishes and outdoor lawn games hosted by campus Resident Advisors.
Tuesday, Oct. 9
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Duluth Food Day, Student Union. Sample local fare from some favorite Duluth restaurants.
Wednesday, Oct. 10
1 p.m. — Men’s soccer vs. Northland, Saints Field
3:15 p.m. — Women’s soccer vs. Northland, Saints Field
7 p.m. — Volleyball vs. Northland, Reif Gymnasium
Thursday, Oct. 11
11 a.m. — Quidditch, Science Front Lawn – a recent Homecoming tradition
Friday, Oct. 12
5:15 to 6:30 p.m. — Chili Feed, Storm’s Den
7 p.m. — Student Talent Show, Mitchell Auditorium
Saturday, Oct. 13
9 a.m. — Alumni football scrimmage, Science Front Lawn
11 a.m. — Men’s soccer vs. Minnesota Morris, Saints Field
Noon — Volleyball vs. Minnesota Morris, Reif Gymnasium
Noon to 2 p.m. — Family Fun in the Burns Wellness Commons
Noon to 4 p.m. — Tailgate Party in the Mitchell Parking Lot
1 p.m. — Prism concert: CSS Music Ensemble Showcase, Mitchell Auditorium
1 to 3 p.m. — Career Services Open House – visit their new space in the ground floor of Tower Hall
1:15 p.m. — Women’s soccer vs. Minnesota Morris
2:15 p.m. — Campus Homecoming Parade – the parade will begin between the Science Center entrance and the entrance of Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel, winding between the Science Center and Somers Hall, past the large parking lots at the front of campus, and up the hill toward the Burns Wellness Commons.
3:45 p.m. — Football Team Send-off, Burns Wellness Commons main entrance
6 p.m. — Football game vs. Greenville University, Public Schools Stadium (Denfeld High)
Sunday, Oct. 14
1 p.m. — Women’s soccer vs. Hamline University
3:30 p.m. — Men’s soccer vs. St. Thomas
