Duluth officials conduct initial assessment following storm surge

By Pakou Ly City of Duluth officials have conducted a very preliminary assessment of the damages as a result of yesterday’s storm surge. During the assessment, the city reviewed multiple areas such as Park Point, Brighton Beach, the Lakewalk Trail and western neighborhoods. Duluth to celebrate Independence Day today

The City of Duluth and the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center announced that the traditional July 4th festivities will be delayed to July 5th in the interest of public safety and due to the high risk of rain and thunderstorms this evening. City seeks volunteers for beach clean up

The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation division is organizing a beach clean up on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to help maintain and care for the beach areas following a storm surge on October 27.
