Daniel Urshan of Urshan Retirement Group in Hermantown ranked in the top 5-percent of 2,200 Securities America advisors across the nation based on 2017 production.
Because of this achievement, he will be invited to attend the advisory and brokerage firm’s annual Masters Forum, a prestigious recognition event to take place March 14-17 at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, California. This is the fifth year Urshan has been invited to attend.
“I’m honored to be recognized for this accomplishment among Securities America’s large number of dedicated and skilled financial advisors,” said Urshan.
A registered principal and investment advisor representative, Urshan joined Securities America in 1994. He received his insurance and securities licenses in 1984, started what is known as Urshan Retirement Group in 1988 and received the Registered Financial Consultant designation in 1996.
Urshan credits his son and business partner, Jordan Urshan, for the increased business and productivity over the past eight years. Licensed office manager Anna (Bjorlin) Graves and office assistant Kelsey Yoki are also an integral part of the Urshan team and its success, Urshan said.
A 34-year resident of the Hermantown area, Urshan has served one term on the city council and two terms as mayor. He has served the Hermantown area in many capacities for the past 30 years including many regional and state-wide boards, commissions and coalitions.
In addition to being the recipient of a national award from the National Center on Small Communities, he was also appointed by Governor Tim Pawlenty to the Sixth Judicial District Commission on Judicial Selection from 2007 to 2011.
