A scheduled rehabilitation and pavement repair project on Highway 194/Mesaba Ave. begins Monday in Duluth. Motorists travelling in both directions on Mesaba Ave. will encounter left lane closures between 3rd Street and Central Entrance/East Skyline Parkway. Median crossovers will close at: W. 4th Street, N. 4th Ave. West, N. Lake Ave., N. 1st Ave East and E. 9th Street. The project will be completed in mid-October 2018. Minnesota Department of Transportation work on Highway 194/Mesaba Ave. occurs at the same time as a City of Duluth project to reconstruct Superior Street.

. Due to wind and rain, bridge inspections originally scheduled to take place yesterday and today in Duluth are being postponed. Temporary ramp closures from southbound Interstate 35 to eastbound Highway 2 at the Bong Bridge have been rescheduled for Monday, May 14 between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Inspections on the ramp from northbound I-535 to northbound I-35 will be rescheduled at a later date.

. Motorists travelling on Highway 38 between Pughole Lake and Marcell in Itasca County will encounter a detour beginning Monday, May 14. A major resurfacing project will close the road to through traffic until mid-September. Local access will be maintained. The detour route will follow Highway 19, Highway 6, and Highway 286.
