Minnesota Boys Hockey Tournament: Worth, Duluth East blitz STMA in 2A quarterfinal

Garrett Worth (right) scored three goals — his state-leading 43rd, 44th and 45th of the season — and Parker Kleive had 28 saves as third-seeded Duluth East blitzed St. Michael-Albertville 5-0 in a Minnesota 2A high school boys hockey quarterfinal Thursday afternoon before 19,040 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Ian Mageau and Logan Anderson also scored goals for the Greyhounds (24-2-3), who advance to face No. 2-seed Edina in a 2A semifinal at 6 p.m. Friday at Xcel. The Hornets (27-2-0) pounded Lakeville North 7-1 in the first quarterfinal Thursday morning.

Kleive improved to 17-1-2 overall, and has a 1.36 goals-against average and .920 saves percentage.
