Worth, Greyhounds clip top-ranked Minnetonka

Garrett Worth scored two goals to power unbeaten, No. 4/2A Duluth East past top-ranked/2A Minnetonka 4-2 in a high school hockey game Saturday afternoon at Pagel Activity Center in Minnetonka, Minn.

Austin Jouppi and Nick Lanigan also added goals and junior goaltender Lukan Hanson stopped 19 of 21 shots for the Greyhounds, who improved to 8-0-3 overall. The Skippers slipped to 11-1-2.

Worth also scored a pair of goals in the Greyhounds’ 4-1 victory at Stillwater Friday night. He leads all Duluth East scorers with 17 goals and 23 points.

Duluth East will next play host to Duluth Denfeld at 7 p.m. Monday at Essentia Duluth Heritage Center.
