Christian Darrisaw is set to be a cornerstone on the left side of the Vikings' offensive line for years to come.

The Vikings secured Darrisaw with an extension on Wednesday, ensuring the 25-year-old's tenure with Minnesota through the 2029 season.

Following the official signing, Darrisaw expressed to the Twin Cities media a "surreal feeling" at securing his second NFL contract.

"Firstly, I must give a special shout-out to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without Him, none of this would be possible," he stated. "I also want to thank the Wilf family, Executive Vice President of Football Operations Rob Brzezinski, General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, the coaching staff, my teammates, and my family. They made this possible.

"All offseason, I was aware of the potential for this deal, and now that it's a reality, we've made it happen," Darrisaw continued, mentioning his intention to help his parents retire. "This is where I've always wanted to be, and now I'm hopefully here for the remainder of my career."

Darrisaw learned of the extension via text during a position group meeting on Tuesday afternoon, which he joyfully shared with his fellow linemen.

"They were thrilled for me," he said, beaming. "It was pure love."

The praise for Darrisaw extends beyond the offensive line. Several teammates celebrated the extension on Instagram.

Darrisaw attributes the unique camaraderie in Minnesota's locker room to his desire to remain with the team.

"From the first day I walked in, it's been a different kind of group," he explained. "The bonds and friendships we've formed translate onto the field. Those guys are truly my brothers."

Known for his soft-spoken demeanor, Darrisaw consistently maintains a calm composure.
