Duluth Playhouse Youth Theatre presents Disney’s Newsies JR.

Based on the rousing true story of the newsboys’ strike of 1899, the newsies make friends in unexpected places and learn that a couple of ragtag Davids can take on the Goliath.

Duluth police arrest violent offender

Local law enforcement authorities arrested Duluth resident Melvin Carlton, 43, today without incident on a warrant and pending charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, 5th Degree Possession of Methamphetamine, and Fleeing. During a search warrant of his persons, a loaded firearm, magazine, and methamphetamine were located and seized.
