St. Luke’s and Lake View unveil new Aspirus Health names and logos

The two hospitals are now known as Aspirus St. Luke’s Hospital and Aspirus Lakeview Hospital. Their clinics' names have also changed to include Aspirus St. Luke’s and Aspirus Lake View. New clinic names include Aspirus St. Luke’s Hibbing Clinic and Aspirus Lake View Silver Bay Clinic.

St. Luke’s and Lake View unveiled their organization’s new names and logos during ribbon-cutting ceremonies today in Duluth and Two Harbors. Leaders from both communities were on hand to commemorate the events.

The two hospitals are now known as Aspirus St. Luke’s Hospital and Aspirus Lakeview Hospital. Their clinics' names have also changed to include Aspirus St. Luke’s and Aspirus Lake View. New clinic names include Aspirus St. Luke’s Hibbing Clinic and Aspirus Lake View Silver Bay Clinic. A full list of clinic names are online at slhduluth.com/Aspirus.

“This is a major step forward for our communities,” Aspirus Senior Vice President and President of the Minnesota Region President, and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Nick Van Deelen said. “We are proud to officially add Aspirus to our names and continue caring for our community as part of this incredible system while providing the same top-quality care you’ve come to expect.”

“We look forward to living our mission in the Northland and delivering compassionate high-quality care to those we serve.” Aspirus Health Senior Vice President and Central Wisconsin Region President Jeff Wicklander said. “We value healing people, promoting health and strengthening our communities.”

Aspirus Lake View President Greg Ruberg echoed those sentiments.

“As part of the Aspirus Health family, we now have access to expanded resources and support, allowing us to further invest in care models and services that are vital to providing great care in more rural areas.” Ruberg said. “We are excited about this new chapter and are looking forward to continuing to serve our patients as part of the Aspirus family.”

The Aspirus name is formed by combining the Latin words meaning “to breathe upon” and “as one,” into a single word meaning “to live with united spirit.” The dew drop leaf icon in the logo symbolizes health and growth, and the human element emphasizes the nurturing of well-being. The logo colors symbolize woods and water, and life and vitality.
